Miss Sharryn grew up dancing in Sydney Australia, studying in jazz, tap (British Australasia Limited – advanced level), ballet (Royal Academy of Dance), singing and acting.
Sharryn has traveled the world as a performer and choreographer.
She started her professional career at Australia’s Wonderland Theme Park as a singer/dancer, then became assistant choreographer at the age of 19.
She has performed on board P&O Australia’s Cruise Ships, and Princess Cruises, as Line Captain and Assistant Choreographer to Mr William Forsythe.
Sharryn was also Assistant Choreographer to The Wiggles. She then filmed numerous DVD’s and Television programs with them, as a Red Coat Dancer. She toured Australia, New Zealand and the U.S.A in 2002. You may even see her now on the Disney or Sprout Channel.
Sharryn has choreographed Dance Conventions, Theater Restaurants, Club Shows, and Human Nature (as seen on the Las Vegas Strip).
Her passion for teaching is just as vast as her performing career. She has taught for some of Sydney’s most renowned companies and schools such as The Sydney Dance Company, McDonald College, Brent Street Performing Arts, and the Australian Institute of Music.
Sharryn has also been a judge for numerous Dance Competitions around Australia, and the U.S.A.
After leaving her own Dance School in Sydney, Sharryn moved to Las Vegas and has taught at The Dance Zone, Henderson Multi-Generational Center, and Backstage Dance Studios. Most recently she opened her own business ‘Young Performers’ and is a Teaching Artist at The Smith Center Las Vegas for Disney Musicals In Schools.
Opening her new studio in Southern Highlands, Gotta Dance, is the highlight of her career.
